My imported zed came with 2 headunits.

 

1) Alpine Cd player/tuner

2) Alpine mini-disc player

 

The tuner originally wouldn't pick up uk stations but luckily i found a band expander the previous owner left in the car but hadn't connected it.

 

So I can now get radio stations.

 

The problem is...the cd player will not play cd's for some weird reason. Neither genuine or copied cd's.

 

It inserts the cd and then after about 5-10 seconds it auto ejects it. I've tried around 30 cd's and all the same.

 

Anyone know what's going on? I can get the exact models for the stereos if needs be.

Sounds like it's knackered. It may be fixable or it may be preferable to but a new, UK unit.

I've a nice Sony CD head unit for sale ;o)
