of 12 companies two only quoted average of 600 to 700 pounds that's with 4 years no claims, immobiliser, parked on the driveway , fully comp , mods declared and 3 points for speeding and me as named driver

tried elephant over 750 pounds

 

My current insurer at the moment is the policy shop(my broker) Policy Shop Website been using Sabre for a number of years, every year they just get better and better, under 500 last year when my tire blew up in 2002 my insurance was 1300 pounds ...owch!

 

So I expect it to go down again,this year substanially I pay with direct debit , but they always charge extra for that, anyone got a company that doesn't?

I'd recommend trying our club insurers Adrian Flux or failing that Carole Nash.

Christ, I'm 13 years your junior and I only pay £450 fully comp.

Virgin don't charge anything for paying monthly and cost me 750 but i still haven't declared my mods yet. Time to sort it out methink :)

im with A.F. and im paying £1300 for 29 year-old with 8 years NCB and 3 points. i should be paying half that :nono: deffo changing next month

That's who i'm switching to i think, did a quote and came up less than i'm paying virgin now with all mods declared

A-Plan best for me this year.

Mines with the AA but I've been with them for years. I tried others but some wouldn't even insure my Zed and others wanted far far too much.

 

Mines only £380 would have been £364 if paid yearly. 9years No claims, no points, fully comp with hubbie as the my other named driver. Drive way parked as he don't fit in my garage lol

Sky are excellent, Hubbie Rx7 is with them due to loads of recommandations from other people. They know their stuff.

At least I'm not paying as much as some of you guys anymore, my insurance is not due for a few months but there a few companies (thanks to you lot :) ) I haven't tried yet, well best to start early!

I'm a lil concerned about my insurance.

 

Last year it was £1300 and declaired for 450bhp, now having engine rebuilt and hopefully be pushing 600hp so don't want to even think about the insurance right now lol.

how old do you have to be to have a classic policy?

Last year with Norwich Union I paid £1300 fully com.

This year Warwick Davis £350 TPFT and 600 fully com. all declared

Try A plan insurance 01635 874646 and ask for Henry or Clare . . . . they beat my prvious company by £250 . . . . and were great people to do business with . . . very professional and seem to understand the world of Z ownership, mods, imports etc

Classic policy, fully comp, 3000miles, breakdown, glass, legal and stereo cover,£250 ish. T/T Jap Import, only mods are non- standard alloys.

You can pay in one instalment, 3 instalments or over 12 months. Small charge for the last one, but its about £12.

Hmm...... my renewal with them was £740, Bell got it down to £380 for exactly the same cover.
