Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I just got mine done and have just put it onto datascan and have noticed the timing readout on it is now 25 when warm at idle, I remember on birds his was 25 as well and his was a conversion, any people out there with a datascan or such and a converted car can you check yours for me and see if its a common thing. Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 ahhh thats the one that comes from the autobox ecu i take it.any idea what pin it is andy Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 is that pin 44 , nuetral position switch Quote
Guest andyduff Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Sounds like the one :) Not got the FSM with me atm but can check it tomorrow for you. You could of course do it properly and actually use the switch on the box to ground it when needed.... Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 think i will do it properly, plus need to speak to paul about how he has wired it up as the cruise control has stopped working and i might try to rewire it to work or get a isotta zulag steering wheel instead and forget the cruise Quote
Guest andyduff Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 How has the cruise stopped? Does the light come on on the dash when you turn it on? If so then its more than likely the brake switch used for cruise cancel has been disturbed or not reconnected when the pedal work was done... Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 yeah the light comes on, will have to check the pedal connections and see what it is Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 by the way cheers andy, yet again you are the font of all z wisdom Quote
Guest andyduff Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Just checked and it is indeed pin 44. Neutral switch on the box is the rear most connector, coming from the shifter section of the box :) Black square connector same as on the stock boost solenoids... Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 cheers bud, another little job for the weekends Quote
Guest andyduff Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Just to clarify, one side of switch to earth, other to ECU pin 44 :) Quote
Retro620ti Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 yeah thought it was a standard switch, just open or closed. Quote
nickz32 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 just want to clarify something if possible, when you do an auto to manual conversion, you can still keep the cruise control?? if so how does this work, as i though the cruise control was apart of the auto ecu, and i thought you changed this to a manual ecu? or am i completely wrong? cheers nick Quote
