If you have one and are fitting it you'll also need a chip or you wont have enough fuel going in.

oh dear, dont have one of those, better speak to andy p or john dixon..thought all boost controllers would be fine on oem ecu's and injectors etc if kept with the 1 bar limit on standard tubs

Just want to check. If you add a boost controller, you need to change your ecu etc as well..as per above post I thought you could increase boost up to about 14-15 psi ( 1 bar) and still run oem ecu and injectors?

NO, You can fit the controller now, set it at say 8psi, when you get round to it, fit a JD or AndyP chip and then up the boost on the controller once done.

Cost of chip fitted is only around what, 80-100 quid so no biggie.

thanks Smithy, another open ended question to JD or Andy P.. can i send my ecu to you to do this etc and what is the procedure involved. I take it , a chip essentially changes pramaters for the cars to work and as such would increase fuelling etc etc.. Just curious about how the whole thing changes when a chip is added..

Mark,

We [DTA] do performance chips and I can pop one in with the AVC-R. Will also socket the ECU for you. Let me know.
