i recently carried out the total hicas removal, i have de-vained the TT pump as seen here

Now my steering is very heavy, i have bled the power steering system more than 5 times now.

how can i fix this, the hicas solenoid in the engine bay has been removed as well as the rear hicas lines and the fail safe valve the lines run 2 aswell and hicas locking bar has been installed..

 

How do i fix my steering, i have always had good stearing before, so the speed sensor isnt at fault as it wasnt touched

 

ANYONE HELP... and yes i have searched but there are no definative answers, everyone says 2 bleed the system or the speed sensor..

You have devaned the pump ? Or removed the pressure regulator thingy like the link shows?

 

Did you recirc the right hose ?

It doesn,t say anything about de-vaining the pump , it,s the vaines that give you pressure isn,t it :confused: :confused:

i read that tech section and thought it was wrong in my opionion!

it looks like they remove pressure valve from pump?

i personally have just carried out my own mod which involved removing rear plate from pump and taking out pump impellor and vains! this way you can make a blank on pump hicas outlet and dont have to reroute hose back to resevior (crude imo)

i can only assume by removing valve the pump is no longer creating pressure? tell me what you did to pump and ill have a look at mine tom and see if i can work it out!!!

yes i have just removed teh check valve like the link shows.. ok now im getting stressed . this was suppose 2 be a simple mod :(

yep, i followed the tech artice and recirced the correct hose

Does conzult have any power steering diagnostics ?

full version of conzult does,. ive sorted my issue. i have NA ps pump gear in the mail :)
