hi just wondering if any body has used there chip and what were the results ?

Hi,

2 years ago i had an "ecu upgrade" not sure but i think thats the same thing from jeff at zed world. I thought it made a massive difference compared to standard tt and much more enjoyable drive. However, i dont know how this compares to others.

hope that helps

i think he installs boost jets along with the chip to up the boost to circa 13psi. this is what would make the difference in power.

ok cheers lads i think il give it ago an see how it goes an il post dyno results as they say theres a 70bhp increase with the chip !

boost jets :nono: :nono: no control over boost pressure do yourself a favor and put an electronic boost controller on, boost is adjustable then boost jets can cause boost spikes and they not good news :smash:

Bulls Hit Power maybe Bud.Give John Dixon or AndyP a call.

Nowt wrong with boost jets, just make sure yu fit an after market boost guage so you know what your running, same goes for An electronic controler! :smash:

I dont totally agree there Nick, I know many have used jets with no problem but many have used them and had problems with spikes causing over boost and causing damage. Electronic boost controller's are a little more expensive but you get the advantage of being able to adjust the boost, better boost response and quicker spool up, over the jets

Gotta disagree, properly setup boost jets are quite safe, the boost spikes are minimal and unlikely to do any damage in that short period of time. There is FAR more opportunity to have prolonged detonation using an electronic boost controller which will really cause damage. Of course a properly setup electronic boost controller is even better ...

I had my ECU upgraded by Zedworld with the fitting of a JWT chip and 1mm boost jets, the difference was significant throughout the range. They described it as a soft chip, i.e., not too aggressive and still driveable around town. It did not seem to affect fuel consumption by much either. Well pleased.

talking about boost jets nissan actually fitted some restrictors in the actuator pipes as stock item

did you have it done? i am concidering it and wondered the difference

yes well iv got it done just haven fitted it yet cars in getn work done at the mo ! will post results wn fitted and test

yup, i agree. have been running 16psi on a JWT chip for about 4-5 years, 30,000 miles now with boost jets. runs sweet ;)

also you will still get safety boost at 7psi from cold & when detting with boost jets which you wont get with an EBC ;)

Is that true ? Doesn't the standard boost get raised by the same proportion as the extended boost ? I'm sure we've talked about this before ...

because once boost solenoids are disconected the boost is controlled via the controllers own solenoid therefor safety boost is not permitted via the ecu

the det senser will only protect against detting below 3000rpm over that the engine noise is too great so it makes no difference if you have boost jets or an EBC when your running on full boost as you will be doing well over 3000rpm

What size hose is it that the jets go into, I know they run from under the intake pipes but do they go down to the waste gates, if so how long are they.

nope - i get bang on 7psi when cold ;) we may have talked about this before but i still get 7 psi!! :D

ok, fair comment - it does still mean you retain safety boost from cold, which is a good thing IMO. mine did drop into safety boost on a dyno once when the IC's started to heat soak - so does at least provide some protection!

6mm IIRC

True, I have a JD chip and 1.2mm jets running around 13psi, No problem at all and still have saftey mode. But I have a resistor in place of my det sensor as it's fubar. Still no running problems

hi mate these ristrictors u mention canu remove them? and will they make adiffrence? cheers
