My Itinerary

SATURDAY

 

7am Leave Ashby de-la Zouch and travel 2hr 45min and 121m to Abergavenny to pop over and see PK1, have a bit of lunch and see how he's doing with the lotus

 

4pm Leave for Dolgellau and travel for 3hr 44mins and 104m to visit Dipone and collect my Unorthodox Pulleys off him, stop for a quick pint then set off back home again

 

9pm Leave for home again, 3hr 36mins and 123m

 

1am Bed

 

SUNDAY

 

8am Clean the car

 

11am Set off the convoy to birmingham

blimey mate you take care - thats a fair few miles to cover. take plenty of red bull/snacks and dont forget to pull over and take a break. sounds like teaching to suck eggs but thats a fookin long journey!

 

PS Dolgellau is a gorgeous place. I went to Barmouth Bridge with my father a couple of months ago to scatter some family ashes off the bridge. So serene and peaceful. I might retire there one day.

i know youve probably gone bed now but multimap reckons Abergavenny to Dolgellau is only 2:15 so should shave an hour and a half off your journey. actually in the greater scope of things it doesnt really help does it! lol!

Myself and petrol head do journeys from scotland to london and back all in one go on a regular basis these days to buy cars and stuff! lol

 

to get my zed

We left Glasgow at 0130 am all the way to london, arrived by about 8am, got the car had a chat, spun round headed home about 10am and were back in scotland by 7pm that same night! LOL

 

now thats a proper road trip!!! your all softies!! hahaha!

4am drive to dover ,then boat to france drive to holland ,,pick my kid up ,turn around and drive all the way back...home at 9/10pm same day .....(potters bar) just under 1000mile's

 

and i do this every 6 week's...... :tongue:

 

but must say it's great fun in a Zed...did it in a van and it was SH!T :rant:

 

done london to Nice(south france) and back in 18 hour's ( lot's of redbull and pro-plus) ;)

he got here had a good chat showed him the car and the worskshop/conservatory.. oh and gave him some treats!! including this fetching number!

 

this little piccie is because he still wont tell me anything .. sod!!

 

it was great to finally meet nick and personally thank him for everything he did for me since the stroke new years eve, he was patient as its still difficult to speak clearly and as had a really bad tick/pulse attack while he was there, nothing to worry about but its a bit of a bugger when it happens.

 

cooked him some big arse steak and talked about stuff.

 

im looking forward to seeing him again soon and the rest of you guys..

it will only be right for bunny to start the thread so when u read this, start it up and add your first pic... then get in your zed and drive back down to dipones for a picture, seeya back here in a few hours!

I had to drive from the west coast to shrewsbury on vapours to get some frigging loopy juice, just made it :D

 

Have to say, very much enjoyed the M40 tunnel (video to follow!)

Trevor, great to see you too matey. Sorry i couldnt stop too long but nice to finally have a proper chat with you and a cuppa, i'll let you know how i got on with the pulleys when they go on :D

 

You know what after 560km (347miles) i don't feeli like i've done more than 50.

 

I love driving zed's long distance and only used up 70 quid in petrol, bargain! :)
