Key Stuck in the ignition!

My key is stuck in the ignition! :headvswal

 

The key wont do that extra turn to the left to release it. The button presses in but doesnt feel like its poping out far enough. My car is now in the car park with the key in the ignition! Lucky my alarm fob is in my pocket and the car is locked.

 

It has been getting stuck intermittantly over the last week or so. I think the cold weather may have something to do with it.

 

Any ideas?

    Have you tried moving the steering wheel from left to right while you try to turn the key in the lock?? Is the key still in one piece?

    Whats wrong with me? I just seem to be doing really stupid things recently!

     

    I Knew about that steering lock thing, I had just forgot, maybe not driving it in about 4 weeks has something to do with it lol.
