wellcome bud,here ya go ;)

Hey new boy,

Yes the 300zx will kick the ass of that honda you have there, I got mine down to 5.75 to 60 and then the clutch started to smell and I got bored, but many on here have done 5 seconds and a few even lower.

LWB = 2+2 (ie Back seats, making it a 4 seater)

SWB = 2 seater (no back seats, and car is shorter)

All UK cars are TT LWB. Imports are available as LWB/SWB/TT/NA and the rare slicktop(non targa SWB) and Convertable.

Performance

Stock TT Manual 0-60 is approx 5.5 secs and about 14secs 0-100mph.

With a safe boost increase to 1bar/14psi (including aftermarket induction/exhaust/ECU remap) your looking at under 5 secs 0-60mph , under 12secs 0-100mph.

Top speed is approx 175mph with limiter removed.

ok the reason i ask is originaly i was going to turbo my honda upto about 300bhp but the cost if i do the work is about 3500 pounds and there lies the dilemma for that money i could own a nice z with twins but then i asked myself which would be faster once the honda was turbo'd the honda is1200kg and the z is around 200 kg heaver so u tell me lol

convice me !!

The honda would in theory be quicker....except it would have major traction problems at low speeds and would'nt have the long legs(gearing) for top speed like the zed has....and then ofcourse you have to bear in mind that it costs very little to get a 300bhp zed close to 400bhp

FWD cars dont like power.

well i guess it will have tobe a lwb model as ive a little boy who needs a seat 2 .

your right about the power issue as well so ive few more questions for you all whats involed in uping the power from 300 to 400bhp on a twin z and is the space in the back very big ?

You could turbo charge your Honda but at the end of the day you'd spend £3500+ and your existing car would not be worth any more for it.

300zxs are pretty reasonably priced at the mo so the best option is to sell your Honda and buy one.

Personally, I'd never bother spending £000s modifying a car only to see the money potentially wasted; I'd just buy a newer/better/faster (not necessarily all 3 though :D ) car straight away ;)

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

you can get up to 400bhp within a couple of grand if you know where to shop.

induction, zorst, chip, electronic boost controller, decat, underdrive pulley, uprated spark plugs, couple of bits like bypassing emissions systems (aiv, egr), grounding net, air/fuel controller. trouble is by then youre looking at flywheel/clutch and brakes

you answered your own question mate, your thinking of spending 3k+ on your Honda to get it to 300bhp, you can buy a good zed for that money which already has that bhp even in stock form, if you shop around you will proberbly find a good zed for that sort of money that has had most of the work done to get it near the 400bhp mark i.e zorst, induction kit or possibly chipped too, they are about for that money in the present climate, but be quick before the prices start to rise on these cars. And welcome to the club

You reckon? I fecking wish they would!

i have 360bhp and 368lbft of torque at just 12psi

Straight through decatt exhaust to backboxes

apexi induction

andy p ecu chip

EBC set to 12 psi

colder spark plugs

thats it for performance upgrades , a few more psi , underdrive pulley should see me at 400hp
