FMIC

Oh I could be so tempted to do this but does it mean that you have to go twin MAF???

This is what the guy on TT.net said about what he's done...

---------------------------------------------

Well after having the FMIC collect some dust it finally got installed. The thing is thick 4.5" good for 1000HP and flows around 1500cfm with zero pressure drop.

The air intakes had to be relocated and hard pipes were also made. AFC was used to control a 2nd MAF and used with a stock ECU. Idle is perfect with the dual pop/MAF and it looks real good in person.

an FMIC is overkill for cars with stock turbos..

He also has the 'JWT dual pop'-upgrade, which means he has 2 intakes.

This is usually done by cars that have over 430 bhp and 550cc injectors, since the stock MAF reaches it's limit at that stage.

When you have dual-pop you can go 2 routes:

have 1 MAF and a socalled drivability-upgrade or have 2 MAF's, and an AFC to combine both signals.
