Is there anyone pretty close to me (dont mind travelling too far mind) who can fix my central locking?

 

It doesnt work with the key on the drivers side. When you put the key in it turns 180degrees to the left and hardly at all to the right.

 

Decent beer tokens as i have a car on my drive that i cant lock so need to fix it asap.

That's because it's broken off from the back of the barrel and is hanging down inside the door!!!! Like I've been saying!! ;)

 

Its not hanging down at all Si, Ive pulled and twisted and yanked the tiny rod that the yellow plug is connected to and there is about 5" distance between the rod and barrel. Its not hanging as there is no movement at all so it hasnt just come loose.

That is the furthest i can pull the yellow plug upwards towards the barrel.

Get a better camera, lol.

 

The yellow clip should be on the back of the barrel, then the rod goes down to somewhere, were another do connects (the one from the lock by the door handle)

 

Seems like it needs a little sorting out!!

 

Id just try and get it so you can lock the door from inside to start with.

I cant get it to lock from the inside at all.

 

Using the handle inside the car doesnt do anything, It feels like its catching somewhere but i cant find it following it back along the cable.

 

This is why i wanted to take it to someone as im clueless.

Is the clip on the back of the barrel metal as i know the pics dont show it but there is a sheared off bit on it so does that mean a new barrel as i cant see where it would connect to.

Tilt you head to the left and you will see the spike of sheared meatl coming out of the barrel on this one...

Either metal or plastic. Dependant upon year. Earlier ones had plastic. I replaced mine for one that Duffer gave me and it was metal. Much more robust.

 

It doesn't sheer off, it splits in half and falls off the end of barrel.

 

Shouldn't need a new barrel. There should be a little half washer clip on the back. Pull that off and the assembly, which is keyed, sits on the end of it.

Take the handle off, it's only held in with 2 nuts. Then take a photo of the barrel end.

Im so fooking close to ripping the stupid door off its fooking hinges it aint even funny.

 

Door handle cant come off. The screws under the handles have been glued/welded down so while trying to prise them off i scratched the shit out off the paint under the handle.

 

Cant get the bolts off inside the car as i cant reach round the socket on the heads so these pictures will have to do im afraid.

The cam has come off the end of the lock. Borrow an alsasian until you can fetch it up to me and I'll sort it :D
