i have bought my second zed (look at dann172 on cars for sale) £2400!!!!!!!! engine done 2k engine rebuild cost nearlt £6000. the number plate and wheels are new and worth more that £3000.

what is happening to zed prices, obviously im made up with the price but come on STOP SELLING . More zeds that are on the market then cheaper they have to go.

The 300zx is a classic sports car. I would say classic super car. if people stopped selling so cheap then people will be forced to pay more.

No matter what you spend on them, they can still fook up and land you with a ££££ bill.

Plus they're old and not desirable in many (daft) people's eyes.

And newer cars are cheap. You can get a 350Z for not much over £10K these days.

I paid good money for mine - the best thing for me is to hold onto it and get my money's worth over a a good few years.

Besides there's nothing else I'd want for the same value.

Was thinking bout selling my Z about 6months ago, but theres no way i will sell 4 peanuts ;)

so now im glad i decided 2keep it, just take my time & mod it the way i want

& yes u do have a point !!!!!

yes but as you see on top gear the zx wipes the z when they do the drag. lol well there are more 350s on the road that 300s

i agree there too cheap i gave 800 quid for my n/a manual with 18s and a huge fook off exhaust...............mind you ive just spent another 500 quid on it its a shame they are worth more in bits

Value is in the eye of the beholder. I drive my na every day - have done for 7 years now and I go months almost years without seeing another. I'm not bothered that the rest of the word hasn't a clue. It's their problem.

Do I aspire to a Ford. Sorry mate, I don't.

I'm interested in being both individual and in the know.

The real motoring people know what a gem the Z32 is, and I'm proud to be one of them.

History will tell a different story to todays climate.

Keep Zing.

Not for much longer ;)

I've had my Zed since July and I've only just started to work on it. I'd won't one since they first came off the production line.

It's a shame that people are selling them so cheaply.

I'll not be getting rid of mine for anything else. I bought it to drive and have some fun with. Not leting this one go to the scrap yard or be brokern for bits.

they might be valuable to us, because we like them and put a lot of time and effort into them, but the bottom line is its a 16 year old Nissan!!

sorry guys but you can not escape from the fact, they are old cars normally with high miles.

if you want a car that holds its value you bought the wrong car.

gets a bit head doing this debate i mean im assuming you bought the car for the love and enjoyment of it as opposed to an investment??

I dont think there is any point in worrying about the prices. They are going to go up and down but these cars are never going to make big money. Just enjoy what you have and make the most of owning the best sports car to come from japanese car industry. IMO.

I agree with Vin. I've lost interest in bothering too much about prices anymore. Believe that you still need to part with about £4k - £5k to obtain yourself a top condition TT Manual though. But I've got the car now, I've spent a load of wonga on it, I'm not interested in selling it for another few years, so couldn't really care. It'll probably be worth bog all when I come to sell it. But it should sell quickly as it's a clean honest looking car.

Couldnt have put it better myself.

I do feel the need for praise from you fellow 300 owners which I spose is all part of being a club member. Its not nice to have spent a small fortune and be the only one who likes it? Therefore I shall not reveal how its coming along until its ready for opinions. I cant make my mind up about colour. Black or red is favourite. So its looking like it might be two tone. But its got some nice things going on.

I think they will increase in value in about five years when the jap import numbers come down due to cars being broken up or damaged . We were flooded with imports over the last 5 years in the uk we have about 80% of the jap market 300zx cars impoted here.Uk cars will be collectors items if you can keep the rust at bay 15 years of salt doesnt help ,some uk cars are probably in need of a full restoration these cars are a future classic.

Well I'm on my third Z now (I just can't get away from the damn things!!) and I've now got a mint UK car with all the extras. I do think that the rarer spec cars, like the slicktops and swb TT manuals, should hold their value better than the more abundantly available 2+2 imports. Also, hopefully, a well looked after UK will be becoming more and more hard to find and hence a minter should be worth a bob or two.

I'm hoping to be able to keep hold of my new one for some time - and perhaps it might go up in value - but I really didn't buy it in an effort to make profit. I bought it for me, and I intend to keep hold of it. Regardless of financial value, these cars really are something special - so no-one would buy one as an investment, Z's are bought with the heart not the mind :)

Taking into account that only a small number of these cars were made ( relatively )

especially 92/3/4 i dont think Jspec/uk will make that much difference imo

im glad the tide is now in favour of jspec due to salt/rust issues

fed up with jspec looked on as inferior

i thought they were all imports anyway ( if im wrong im sure it will be kindly pointed out lol )

The Z32tt most underated car in the world !!

The Z32tt most underated car in the world !!

i think thats the truest thing ive heard for a long time. the point is, no more are being made so as each day goes by and another one is broken/scrapped, all the remaining ones go up by 20p (anyone see The One with Jet Li ;) ) until there's only one left, worth a billion pounds and comes with 90 tonnes of spares.

the way i see it if its in good condition and holds low millage (below 80,000) a 300bhp sports cars should not be seen going for less than £3500. they come with all luxuries and gagets that modern cars come equiped with

lol typical eh well there worth over £3500 in parts so why should they be worth less in one piece

lol typical eh well there worth over £3500 in parts so why should they be worth less in one piece

Because there are so many with bits wrong and hanging bodywork. There seem to be more poor ones than good ones. But that's kinda getting less now...well, it seems to.

the cheaper the better for me i want them all.[/quote

i would be happy with just one lol .

but then once i got one you can start to sell them for loads lol :hyper:
