I know it has been discussed before but I wasn't interested then but am now.

 

What i would like are some lower springs that are not too hard but maybe 30-40mm lower.

 

Eibachs seem to be the favourit but are there any other that I might consider.

I got mine from zedworld they are made by avo give a nice drop and were only £125 ish.

mine are chassis dynamics, not sure what the lower is on it but its fookin uncomfortable!

I've got these

 

Eibachs are fantastic springs (I've had 3 previous cars with them all), but unfortunately, for the Z, they only drop the car by about 10 - 20mm....so on an old Z with original slightly sagged springs, you'll not notice much of a drop.

 

I'd also recommend H&R springs. Special order from Germany, they are quite expensive, but are a better drop. They retain a similar design to the Eibachs in that they are progressive wound meaning the car won't bounce and feel uncomfortable.

ahh a cracking quality example... sesame springs with adjustable swing arms and integrated bow tie rods, if you wind the collar around it adjusts the head room. you cant see from the picture but a common problem on these is losing the boots from the bottom as they often get propelled due to (welly) wanging round corners! hope this helps

A few years ago everyone was using the Blitz progressive springs like I have.

Are they not available anymore? I don't think they were too expensive.

I was thinking of Tein but the spring rate might be too harsh

I have a tein suspension system on mine (already fitted when got car, may have been fitted in Japan), VERY firm, but corners and grips (wet & dry) like it's on rails, still haven't got used to how awesome the handling actually is! It handles better, or at least as well, as my previous car, an Audi 100 S4 quattro turbo! Don't know anything about the system (drop or anything), but it is awesome if you don't mind a hard ride.

With such low profile tyres, you need to be really carefull about your choice here. I'am on 18's with Eibachs and it is a good all round ride. As long as you address the damping while you are at it you should get a nice ride on 19's with Eibach springs and new standard dampers.

Yes i have to agree with this! Ride is a little harder but not too hard!

Handling is superb and drop well my shocks and springs were naff anyway so i didnt notice much difference.

At least my car can't be called a 4x4 anymore :D

what about coilovers then you can adjust the ride height i think

Got some new front AVOs still in box,35mm drop,yours for £10,then all ya need to do is pop over to AVO in Northampton and pick up some rears,got the part number too.
