Straight swap 1 set of clocks for another, the needle however still moves as if it's reading KMPH instead of MPH. Nice driving down the road and it reads around 70 when am only really doing around 40 ;)

any ideas folks ?

Was thinking if a speed convertor was fitted and still there, the speedo would run slower surely ?

Sounds like you've been done and someones sold you a Jap cluster with a mph face on it.

 

Easy to tell, remove the cluster and look at the connections on the back. I mentioned the differences in this thread: http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=41352

Or even easier, what units is the boost gauge in?

Was pulled out of a UK car as far as i was aware bud, but yep will double check the connections.

Were your old clocks fine? What an odd situation, are all the connectors in tight etc?

 

Is it definitely a UK dash, the USA ones are diferent. Dotted kph line and 160mph not 180mph if i remember correctly. Dont know if it would make a difference, just throwing ideas.

7 psi ...or....14psi ....1st jap .....2nd uk......

J-Spec is in mm/Hg whereas UK is in PSI.
