I have nearly all the parts collected together for my new slicktop project now.

So I have made a little progress on the build.

It still looks a mess as anyone who has seen it knows.

One day however.......

Got the back down on the deck now. :nana2:

First pic shows my custom made braided brake lines. designed to get rid of one of Nissans awful clip locators. Its been replaced with a "bolt thru " male end joining a female threaded nut on the revised hard brake line.Fronts are done the same way.

Its cheaper and its better.IMO

Other pics show the 350Z brake set up installed and just behind it is the AGX adj/Eibach suspension strut and shiny new adjustable top arms. i just need to get some lower adjustable tension rods from 2 Fast-2 Cool on flea bay.

Clearance between wheel and caliper is around 1mm!! Just goes to illustrate the perils of adapting "other fitment" wheels to the 300ZX. But they were VERY cheap and came with the proper "bolt-on hub adaptors and nearly new tyres. ;)

I would like however to point out that the "gold " is NOT part of the final colur scheme. :nono:

ill leave the gold rim look to the medallion men on the forum :D

It would look better with 19's on!!

I quite agree. IF IT WAS APPEARING ON PIMP MY RIDE!

However the real reason for 17" is the fact that the Mickey Thompson ET Street radial I use is a 17" fitment. ;) ;)

Well here is a very small bit of progress.just modded these today....... see pic.

i also spent most of the day cleaning the engine bay! How interesting....not.

Later I went down to the motor factors and returned with a couple of spray out samples of the main colour... need to see how they look before spraying the engine bay!

Might be altering the shade a little!!!

Finally got the colour right.

I have seen loadsa colour change cars ruined by opening the bonnet to find the original colour still there..... so I wont be going down that cheap n nasty route.

Just got the engine bay finished today.

the combination of flash, neon tubes and 150W halogen lights doesnt give a true colour but its all shiny. Time to get some wiring back now!!

Nice job , any chance of geting another copy of that cage for my slicktop i did post on the thread about cages a few months back .And what sort of money are we looking at, i will pick up .Also what diameter is the tubing thanks taff.

Taff email me at pmaczc@madasafish.com.

I will send some pics and also the spec and price.

TBH its all sorted out and ready to go as a kit, plates bolts etc all with it the main hoop and enough bar to do whatever rear support set up you want. Just not put any effort in to it lately.

Should get 10k for it now Bud. I would sell now. IMHO.

Pete it's looking awesome :D Looking forward to seeing the progress once the engine's in and it's sitting on some wheels :)
