do you mean rear or front, i presume you mean rear in which the answer is no

 

However you can fit subframe locking collars though, 10min job. you just need to place a support under crossmember whilst you undo one at a time. You can then fit c collars at the top of the crossmember and the solid one at the bottom. then replace the other three in same manor

 

upside- you take the loose feeling out of the rear, quick fix

 

downside- differential whine is noticable at low speeds, ride is a bit firmer, and in reality your masking a worn bush, but iv fitted them to my 200sx and can live with the downsides :)

 

bit like using redline mt90 gearbox oil, its not a cure! but it helps in the short term :p

so you have worn syncromesh you refil with mt90 and voila the syncros are repaired :rofl:

I fitted whiteline subframe locking pinapples to my zed about 6 months ago it has helped to tighten up the back end very little extra diff noise .But my standard bushes were in good condition .If your nissan bushes are shot you will need to get the big hammer out and fit new bushes .And with the redline mt90 yes it lasted about a year in mine now its back high revs 4 and 5th crunching.

I fitted all new poly bush's to the arse end of mine and while I was at it replaced the hicas ball joints and diff bush's.

 

Its a different car.

I want to replace mine. Looked at the collars, but would prefer to do the job properly really. Will most likely get some PU bushes from driftworks....although not sure if PU is going to be too firm. I do want to PU most of the bushes on my Z given time.

That was a very good read, it helped me know what I had to do although I did it slightly different and I wouldn't recommend the way I did it.

Si, I think you can get two rates of firmness from Energy Suspension, I have the red ones which are quite firm but not over the top, although if I uprate the suspension then I would be driving a brick, but I think the black ones are softer.

I've fitted the ES black bushes to my rear end arms. The bushes seemed very hard so I took them to work and measured the hardness. From memory they were 96 shore, or maybe a bit harder. This is not much softer than nylon so I'm expecting mine to ride like a truck when I get it on the road. Bushes this hard are ridiculous for the road, god knows why they make them like this.

Rubber is around 65 shore, and 'normal' poly bushes are around 75-85 shore A.

Hmmmmmm....conflicting reports... OE bushes are stupid price though, so that option is almost not there.

The only thing is I haven't got mine on the road yet so can't say what the ride quality will be like. I'm just guessing that it's going to be a bit harsh.

No its not harsh at all just firmer and very positive, I think after the floaty rear end that most of us encounter at some point they do feel too harsh, but now it feels right.
