What really gets to me is the taxes go up and the services go down - where the hell is all the money going? We waste Billions on civil service computer systems that then have to be scrapped because they're crap, more Billions on Millenium 'celebrations' like the Dome which are then white elephants, Billions more on 2012 Olympics (more profits for the boys), then have to tell Magistrates not to send any more criminals to prison because they're getting crowded.

I've got a plate on retention that I bought for a second car but never got round to fitting and as my second car is now an old astra I'm not putting the private plate on it and looking a muppet.

You have to pay £25 for them to retain it every year it's not on a car.

Does it cost them more to have it on the computer saying it's not assigned to a vehicle than if it was on one? NO FFS
