I seriously think the police should get involved PRONTO! Those with any info should report him. They have his old address, he's taken £500 of everyone's hard earned money. He's not been online since last year.....if I'd had any idea where he was or where he used to live, I'd be calling his local police constabulary.

Exactly, personally i'd like to see that all those effected advise our committe of the details, amount, goods, date etc etc, once all the info is in, a member of the committee nearest to Grahams home town pops into the Police station with the list along with our indivdual contact details and basically says, that this guy has done a runner with all our money and we collectively would like to pursue a form of an official complaint. As I said before a large collective complaint will go far higher up than the odd " who can be bothered" little ones. Graham shouldn't be allowed to get away with this and was a member of this club, so as a club, we should all work to resolve it ??

 

As regards Jeff, I see from Zclub he has lifted the £40 limit value of goods to be claimed as some would have been left out, it now applies to everyone who has stated on this forum that they were ripped off by Graham foley :bow: :bow:

i think it is a good idea that he is reported to the police any money recovered should be handed over to jeff for sorting out all the items we payed graham foley . might be a good idea if someone who lives near jeff was to start a collection going . any donations sent to that person put in the pot and then hand over to jeff. i would be willing to send in £10.00 to get the ball rolling . what about the rest of you .

I was unaware about the offer from Jeff, I'd have been happy to pay a fair price for the parts.

 

I put a post up in wanted and SWZ Performance are hopefully sending me the parts, although I am paying £190.50 for the same parts I have already payed a certain Mr Foley £150 for, which has left me seriously out of pocket.

 

I know that myself and from speaking to Chief are more than happy to supply any details and support the Committee of this club to take the matter to the Police, as I believe this may well be the tip of the iceberg, and unless every instance like this is treated, it can ruin otherwise great and beneficial trading relationships not only on this site, but between fellow sites as in this case.

Indeed this graham foley guy is a scumbag and needs to be catched. Im sure the blood curdling screams of 300zx users could make Braveheart look like bambi. But perhaps the commitee of 300zx.co.uk could do something proactive out of site to catch him he is catched. And i dont mean baseball bats at 3am. More like like entrapment by some transaction to the fella. With the whole process recorded so what was done is irrefutable. There are lots of 300zx users who have expertise in the internet who can help with this.

 

Its a suggestion and though there is much rightous emotion about this whatever is done against him should not be done with rampant bloodlust. But if the bugger is prosecuted we can rejoice then.

Whilst I sympathise with all members who have been ripped off by one of our club members, I do not agree with Smithy's proposal.

 

Here are two lines from the clubs AUP

 

"300ZX.CO.UK accepts no responsibility for any transaction that occurs as a direct or indirect result of an advert placed on this forum. 300ZX.CO.UK cannot and will not vouch for any goods or services sold or purchased."

 

"Private Sellers must ensure that their advertisements contains accurate and up-to-date information. No funds will be passed through 300ZX.CO.UK and 300ZX.CO.UK cannot accept any liability for missing or non-receipt of funds. It is the seller’s responsibility to check the money before releasing the goods."

 

I know the committee have said on numerous occasions before, transactions between two forum members is between them and the committee cannot get involved.

 

If a member has been ripped off by another member, make it public, name and shame them, warning other members. IMHO all the club committee can do is ban Graham Foley from the board. However, he hasn't been online since before Christmas, so it looks like he's left of his own accord anyway. The only reason why he hasn't already been banned is incase he wanted to use the board to put right all he has done. Obviously that is becoming less likely the longer it goes on.

 

These comments are my thoughts on the subject and are not necessarily shared by the rest of the club committee. I do know this matter is being discussed in the committee forum, so an official response from the club secretary may be posted in due cause.

 

The reason why I felt I had to respond to Smithy's proposal, is because I am the committee member who lives closest to Graham, in fact I live some 10 miles away.

Again, I'm speaking for myself here and am stating that I will not be getting involved in this matter. As it states in the AUP, it's between the buyer and seller.

Thanks for reminding us of the AUP mate, however i don't think anyone actually believed the committe HAD to intervene and help out, we just hoped and thought that as a club of fellow entusiasts and more importantly friends, the committee would offer their support. I accept for the odd occassion this kinda thing happens it's between buyer and seller, however in this case it was of far greater magnatude and concerned a fellow subscribed member.

People every day on this forum help others out when it is not always their responsibility to do so, they do this out of of acts of kindness to help others with the same passion as them.

As you said, your just 10 miles from Grahams home town, your so helpful to this club in moderating etc, however IMO, I feel to travel there when time allows and pass on some paperwork to the local police would be off greater benefit this club than pretty much anything else you could or do around here.

Tis a shame all the praise for putting some good back into this bad experience has gone to someone who's not even allowed to be here on this forum, rather than to this ever criticised committee :(

Who praised the comittee? Sorry but this is getting out of hand now. If someone wants to do something about it then do so, don't just talk about it on here. Yes Jeff's offer is very generous but lets not also forget what's happened in the past eh ;) I don't see why Steve (or any other members of the comittee, none of whom were involved in any of this from start to finish) should take any more time out of their lives to have to deal with this when it quite obviously has nothing to do with them. The clubs policy is there in black and white for everyone to see. I think the comittee already put enough time into this place without adding the lengthy processes of legal proceedings. Also it will have more weight with the police if its reported by someone who was actually affected by it rather than a third party.

Well said Andy and Steve, the truth is if Jeff had shown the same level of interest in sorting out the mountain of complaints Mac received about him, then he would probably still be on this board. And no im not talking about rumours im talking about what I actually saw when I was assisting Mac in his TLO duties a long time ago. For a long time jeffs buddies scream murder if anyone dares to say negative things about him but those people think its ok to drop his name and big him up on here whenever they get the chance. This is a generous offer but IMO it is all for the benefit of impressing the newbies and drumming up trade, people should just get used to the fact he will never be back here and if they want to have a little fan club going where they can pat each other on the back then go do it some place else...

How sad this has yet again degenerated in to whats happened in the past rather than whats happening and in this case not, in the present time.

Just more of the unwilling to forgive and forget vultures popping out from the woodwork who are hardly heard off the rest of the year :(

The commitee cannot get involved in legal matters, it has to be reported by the person who had their money stolen, you do not need to turn up in person at the local police station, the police won't listen to someone not involved and and in setting a precident it leaves the person reporting future incidents open to prosecution if they are in any way misled

 

If any member needs advice on how to deal with this they can contact any member of the commitee and we will help them to get in contact with the correct authorities.

 

Regarding Jeff and Zedworld,

 

1) Zedworlds trading area was removed when they failed to renew, not due to excessive complaints

 

2) Jeff threatening to sue to club was not the reason he was imposed with a lifetime ban,

 

3) Jeff was imposed with a ban after repeated warnings (more so than any other member) and his ban was put in place after it was reported by numerous members he was contacting them directly via the forum in order to sell goods from his business which was not registered to trade via the club, an action traders often report to us.

Smithy, its not a case of degenerating at all... I don't think Jeff's offer was entirely just to please everyone, he's a businessman and as a result saw the opportunity to aqcuire new business. Since this turned into the 'big up jeff tt/zedworld' thread then I think its only fair that the newer members get both sides. Like I said its a very generous offer but at the same time Jeff will NOT be out of pocket from this whole thing due to an increased customer base.

 

I aint fallin out with anyone over this, end of....

Well its been put rather clearly, its down to the person.

 

One person may help another in distress, when another will turn away.

 

If Graham was 10 miles from me, no doubt to it I would have offered my assistance, that position is an invaluable help to a huge amount of people on here. Theres no denying that refusing and turning away is not helpful to the people here.

 

As for Jeff, he may have shown the offer partly to drum up business, but it sure as hell helped out a lot of people. Theres no denying it benefited people.

as far as im concered Jeff has never done me any harm, always been straight with me and i will continue to use him as will other people i know.....
