what psi boost requires the use of cometic head gaskets.my new tubs will run 22psi according to Z1 in the states.i planned on using stock ones when i rebuild the engine as ive been told they will take it.????

in the US they say that the OEM are really good but i've been told that they won't keep the high pressure so i bought myself Cometic head gasket.

They are not really expensive so maybe it worth it.

No specific amount bud, even guys with just moderate rebuilds have bought cometics off me.

OEM ones are good for a bar of boost but if your gonna run more than either get the block mig wired or run a metal head gasket :)

What is a cometic head gasket anyway ?.Is it a metal layered head gasket ?.

It is mate, multi layered and available in 1, 1.2 or 1.4mm thicknesses.

cheers
