hello all,

i'm in the middle of my rebuilt and was wondering which injector should I use!

I have the Nismo 555cc with the nismo FPR but was wondering if this gonna be enought.

The turbo i'm using are TD05-16G, i have forged piston, forged rods and metallic head gasket.

Any advice?

Should i sell the 555cc, FPR and buy PE 850cc kit from Z1motorsport?

Thank you

from what i've read on here i think 555's will be fine for 16g's. not 100% though.

hello mate -

i'm running a similar spec - you can see my dyno

my old nissan fuel pump ran out at about 450 rwhp (probably due to age ) i fitted a new walbro and it maxed the injectors out at approx 500rwhp

i increased the fuel pressure and maxed out the injectors at 533 rwhp at 1.4 bar boost but with an unsafe afr over 5000 rpm.

in short - no 555's are not big enough if you wnat to run td05-16g;s above 1.2 bar

hope this helps

regards,

alex

p.s i think th PE kit is 95+ onwards - i was going to buy the border 850 kit

With the 555cc and stock turbo, i was running a DTA motorsport chips but now i will run a home made one :)

thank you _cj_ that's is really help full. The PE kit from Z1 come with everything, check this link: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_17&products_id=49

I don't really know which power i want and maybe 500RWHP is enought but as the engine is not yet in the car, i may change them now.

Any idea of how much i could make selling my FPR nismo and my 555cc?

Fairly easy to work out what injectors are required. If you know roughly what rwhp you will be putting out then that is the size of injector to use.

555s give roughly 550rwhp

850s give roughly 820rwhp

These are VERY rough but it does work when sizing your injectors...

I'd go for the 850s on the 300degree fuel rails and be done with it. I had 850s and didn't have any problems at all with idle or low rev drivability. The 300degree rails far out perform the border kit, are cheaper and also you get everything you need...

Stock pump will be fine :) Good up to around 800bhp (as long as its in good working order of course).

ok if i want a new one, i can go with a walbro 255 for sale on ebay ?

Just so yer know, the 850 rails are not yet finished testing procedures, all other ones like 555's, 615's and 740's are and the 740'as being the most popular purchased.

They expect around 3-4 weeks before they are happy enough running hours have been done on the 850 ones.

cheers

740's with new O'rings and the new rails comes to around the 800 quid area mate, similar price to the Border kit but doesn't suffer heat soak which Border rails can.
