VB6 and SQL mainly. My VB is very strong, but ive only really used T-SQL so I might need to brush up there.

Good luck hun!!

No probs mate,

Let me know how it goes, you have my number. I know you will be fine. If all else fails my team is expanding at the moment and we are taking on SQL developers at between £250-£400 a day depending on experience and how good your negotiating skills are. I can pass on your CV to my boss if you feel you could work in Birmingham.

ok mate i'll keep you posted :)

Huzzah that's great

All the best with the interview and remember relax :)

Very wise words there from Neil

I've fukked up interviews by being nervous/intimidated in the past.

Good luck tomorrow Dave! Just been reading computer weekly jobs section and they had the usual skills in demand article. They said that companies are more than willing to take on people with no or very little experience in a certain language if it can be backed up with good skills in other languages and a desire to learn. Go for mate.

Good luck for tomorrow matey :D

Just read up about the company tonight and express an interest in it and you'll do just fine :D

thanks for the good wishes guys. i got back from the interview a short while ago. i quite enjoyed it actually, the technical questions he asked i think i dealt with ok. the chap and the lady interviewing me were quite cheerful, and wearing casual clothes so that put me at ease (plus the half-shot of JD i necked as i pulled up in the car ;) ) he's got two more people two interview, then he'll let me know by Wed/Thu.

could i find the place though? sat-nav took me to the area, but no sign of the place at all. pulled over and rang my agency to let the company know id be late. drove around for 10 minutes looking for the place (asked 5 peds and none of them had heard of it!) rang the company to ask for directions, and the nice receptionist called Vicky guided me in ( ;) ) it turns out that where id initially pulled over and rang my agency, i was right next to the bloody place! it's just a bare knackered brick wall with 'to let' on the side. its not until you pull into its car park hidden around the side that you see the company sign! :headvswal
