boost doesnt build up while in neutral. it builds from vacuum to 0, but thats it. you need to be driving her (or on a rolling road).

or rev it above about 4k rpm in neutral, that should generate a but of boost, you wont get much below that tho

I tend to find you have to get it past about +3 on the gauge then release for a flutter or full boost for a pop :D Mine's an auto too but it still works fine

They do have an adjustor screw in them and they do work ;) and very loud :) sometimes if they have not been used for a while they can stick so worth getting someone to rev the engine to 4-5000 revs with you with your hand over the bovs to feel if there "dumping" ok

Kirbs, i noticed the other day that there are black scortch marks on my silicone pipes, they are about 2cm away from the exit of the dump valves. I take it this is normal, just heat?

where abouts are your DV fitted?

top mount, the exits are about 3cm away from the bottom samco bits of the hard pipes to the intakes.

are you sure its not a bit of oil? rather than scorched? are your bovs on the outer pipes or the inner pipes?

Have you tried holding your hand over the exit while someone else revs hard and they dump?

It hurts, so more than likely not doing your silicone any good.

Either move them, or do what I did and mount a little aluminuim deflecter sheet to protect the silicone.
