All depends really,i've owned 2 T top Zed's and never had a leak, butotherwill tell you they have a leak and no matter what they have tried it still leaks.

Peanutoil is supposed to be good for rejuvenating(sp) the rubber seals, and some ppl ahave said that it sorts it, might be worth ago if yours are leaking.

HTH

Neil

nah its not that im just finding info out at the mo as i will be getting a zx shortly and wondered what they were like buddy cheers for that

if they are a pain to sort i will avoid one if it leaks you see ;)

i get the odd leak once in a while but not very often, probably once a month and it's only a few drips then it stops.

Mainly pasenger side

Same here. Only when there is a real downpour i can suffer but there a few good ways to stop or slow the process of the dreaded leak. All i did was smear some vasaline on the rubbers and it stopped it for the winter.

my drivers side leaks slightly in heavy rain right by the top of my leg so it looks like ive pi*sed myself which is a pain but its always garaged and only comes out in the dry so its ok.

ok so not to bad really nice one

The rubber seal that is part of the targa top above the driver has deformed somewhat which makes the window pop out at the top. So i get a whistling noise above 70mph and water comes in during heavy rain. Should get it sorted.

are the rubber rubers easy replaceable? and available

Targa top leaks are very common. If yours don't, you're lucky. Mine has leaked on and off for over 6 years. Check for obvious signs of perishing, check the drain holes are clear, try some surface application of, eg, vaseline or peanut oil. A complete set of door seals are £200 or so per side (so I'm told). But imagine my delight when I just saw these. Good old Luke - I might try them the next time I arrive at work with a soggy right leg.

now that aint bad let me know how you get on with it buddy cheers

Had 2 Zed`s so far, and none has leaked.

Maybe just lucky ??

I've had my Z since 1999, it used to leak until i pulled all the rubbers off and discreetly applied silicone to the underside of the rubbers. Put a little in the 'channel' and then refit to the car. I have been leak-free for years now

 nice one matey

Nor mine, in 50,000 miles.

Surprised we haven't had any of the Slicktop crew gloating on this thread... :)
