Personally I'd recomend an Epson All-In-One, as there are very good ways around costly ink ;)

There are two in you price range (Epson price that is) and they are......

Epson Stylus DX6000 >>>> http://www.epson.co.uk/products/all_in_one_products/Stylus_DX6000.htm

and...

Epson Stylus DX6050 >>>> http://www.epson.co.uk/products/all_in_one_products/Stylus_DX6050.htm

I'm running an Epson at the moment, it's not an all-in-one though as I have a Epson scanner as well. But I'm very impressed with the quality that I get from mine. And like I say I know of a good way around the cost of replacement ink all the time, use a CIS (Continuous Ink System) far, far cheaper :D

Do a search on eBay to find better prices, and I'm sure you wont be dissapointed.

HTH

IMHO, Epson are good but only if you use them regularly, or at least turn them off when you're not using them, which cleans the print heads. I know 3 sets of people who have now thrown them out as the print heads tend to get clogged up- neither changing the cartridge nor doing a head-clean helped.

So I always go for HP as the print heads are built into the cartridges- this is why HP cartridges are more expensive, but you can solve any ink problem just by changing it.

My tuppence... :)

Don't buy a Brother one!

The print head only last about a year and cost as much as a new printer to replace!!

You do relise that currys and pcworld are the same company!

 so why in tree monkeys name do they have different shops / names!

 so why in tree monkeys name do they have different shops / names!

They own Dixons and The Link as well!!! :D

But to be precise, DSG Retail Limited own all four different companies.

 so why in tree monkeys name do they have different shops / names!

They are all owned by Dixons (aka "Currys Digital" - :hurl: )

Why?

To make people think there is competition out there, when there isn't really, and take all the profits.

Dsgi also own the link, mastercare, partmaster, pc city and a load of other european companies. They used to own freeserve. Until wanndo bought it, followed by orange!

I've got a Hewlett Packard psc2200 all-in-one printer (which includes fax and photo card reader). I've had it a couple of years but it's had very light usage. I'm selling it because I've converted to wireless and this HP (like most printers) is not geared up for wireless. I also include an unopened colour cartridge plus original box and instructions.

It's yours for £60 plus delivery (no idea how much this will be).

Cheers - Dave

True!

A customer of mine gave me a new Epson inkjet that had been used for a week then replaced with a department laser printer but had then sat unused for 3 months.

I gave it to my parents but after trying all sorts of cleaning methods it still prints everything purple LOL

Pardon?
