At last, my cars back from the bodyshop with a few additions!

Well, after ten weeks off the road I have finally got my car back and I have even managed to go a full 24 hours without buggering up my new bumper. Good considering when I got it back the first time a week ago I damaged it within five hours!

Its had the Greddy skirts blended, a Bomex bumper stuck on the front, the little patch of rust it had and all the carpark dings and dents removed.

Anyway, have given her a bit of a clean today and taken some pics. So pleased with the results! :hyper:

Looks very nice, although removing the swage line from the front and the sides...leaves an unbalanced look with swage line still on the rear bumper.

Liking it though. The blending looks very good.

Cheers for the nice comments guys.

I know what you mean, it's exactly what the guy at the bodyshop said. It's a modified Wings West rear bumper for me next unless anyone can suggest anything else that will look ok with a single exit exhaust?

Bit like the Kaminari rear bumper I think??? Like this??? ---->

Yeah, either that or a Wings West would suit me very well.

I am actually very suprised there is no one that offers a bumper for single exit's. I would say there is a pretty big market out there for one.

Now that looks very tidy bud  , but have to agree about the rear bumper

Yeah, either that or a Wigs West would suit me very well.

I know it's all personal preference, but Zs look so much better with twin exhaust. They have the cutouts for it and I think they sound a lot nicer.

It's finding someone that not only wants a single exit exhaust, but wants an after market bumper...not sure there would be a huge market, but iirc, greg had a bumper for his single exit with just one cutout. Think it was modified though....

It certainly looked good.

Looking very sweet bud, agree with the rear bumper, i'm going for a full wings west set up, but i do like your skirts, almost looks like a factory fit.

can i ask where you got the job done, looking for some where to respray my Zed, I'm in New Maldon.

Cheers

choose any bumper you want, any good bodyshop can fibreglass over the other side and repaint filler so it looks blanked off so to speak

.....and then it even changed sides!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks really nice, this is one of those cases where I actually like the stock spoiler.

What is quite amusing is...people often fit larger mouth front bumpers in order for better airflow...but check out the size of that serving tray of a number plate!

Get a small one dude! LOL

;)

I actually quite like the plate as it's not square, it's rectangular...so leave it be. lol :)

Precisely.

Justin: Have a look at the DIY job I originally did in my Journal section :)

Very, very nice job BTW. The rear bumper definately needs the swage line removing though.

thats when it went from dunx megaphone to allunox custom :)

well spotted lol

Thanks again guys, it's nice to know it was worth all that money! Must get that rear bumper done soon now though, it's really bugging me!

Neil- I got it all done at a bodyshop I have used for years in Brookwood, Surrey. If you would like contact details etc then Pm me and I will give them to you. Lloyd, the guy who does all the fabriaction etc there did tell me nevere to bring another 300 in that wants its skirts blending but I am sure he would relish taking on another one really! If it's just a respay I am sure that wont be a problem though. They did a full respray on my MR2 turbo I had a few years back and it was a top job and not expensive I thought.

Friday- Love what you have done with your car in your journal, I just wish I had the talent to do similar. Thats not a stock rear bumper you have though is it?

Cheers mate :) Yep, it's totally stock. The only things done to it at that point were de-swaging, smoothing and the single exit mod. The car is now very different with the arches on and the bumper is being changed again. Instead of going for an off the shelf job (none of which I'm too keen on), we're chopping the bulge off (it's just too big on the 2+2), changing the exhaust aperture again (slashing it straight across the width of the bumper) and adding a diffuser.
