seeing as i lived and worked in brighton for years, that is very specific detailed information, not having ever seen or heard of this kind of activity myself i reckon you must have first hand intimate knowledge of the Kemp Town East Brighton area where the film is set :p

Check that out, bout 4th post down the long one, That guys car was in the film to, at one point he says he got to legally race the Nissan in the car park and that the nissan "Stood no chance"

Had another look and I also noticed a friend RX7 with the modifed RX8 front bumper on that trailer its pink and silver. Might be some more interesting cars in it as well.

The zed in the pic at the top of the page is not mine its the N/A they used when they first started filming. The N/A zed belonged to the guy who borrowed mine for the filming as his was sold so they needed a lookalike!!!

 

To put all of your minds at rest the chap with the beemer raced the N/A and not mine. Apparently when mine was put against the cars in the film it pissed all over most of them apart from the NSX and the 650bhp capri....thats right 650bhp.

 

You really are a scinical lot aren't you....the idea is that the london chavs come down and reek havoc amongst the poor Brighton boys who just love their jap cars. Its a new twist on the Romeo and Juliet theme and is set for cinema release.

 

Incedently Carnaby Films are not amateur!!!!! I must admit I was expecting more positive comments :(

just cause someone likes to wear caps and drive corsa's and saxo's doesnt mae them bad, if im not mistaken wasnt there someone on here at a meet doing burnouts and doughnuts and getting filmed doing it, just cause he has a zed doesnt make him any better than any fooker else

 

i will watch the film when it comes out and am looking forward to seeing it

I'd definately go and see it. You don't have to be an amateur to make a bad film though. The car bits on the trailer look very good and the captions are cool. But the bits with actors look terrible. But having said that the trailer for quadrophenia is crap but the film is ace. Looks like a similar kinda thing as has been mentioned on imdb.

Nope.

Mine was the original zed in the film and badger kindly lent us his afterwards.

We supplied all of the cars in the film bar the capri and beemers.

The film is aimed at the younger generation of car enthusiasts and we were told at one point we needed to lower the standards of cars attending lol.

The original race with the 300zx and the M3 was an N/A zx and to be fair he didn't gain much on it!

I didn't get to see the whole of the story lines but who cares about them? There is some interesting cars and car bits and pieces in it though that's the main thing!

Some of the cars in the film are..

-Badgers zx

-The RX7 with RX8 front end

-Trials NSX

-600+bhp Capri

-Veilside 350z

-Kitted up Supra

-600bhp R34 GTR

-550bhp R33 GTR

-A mental CHAV sierra. (This is a car stolen by some chavs and modified badly)

 

Loads of other Jap metal and alot of cruise type cars for different scenes. Hopefully the story line will be good too and think it should do well with the target audience it's intended for.
