im currently looking for a tt manual ive spoken to a few zed owners and they prefer automatic over manual, are autos better for the zeds or is it down to driving style i have come accross a few imports 1993-4 models that i like and dont want to buy on impulse what are the pros and cons and what is the difference between short wheel base and fairlady besides the the lenth of the car is shorter and there no seats in the back, what are servicing costs like and how often do you service them any suggestions and tips when going to veiw them? and what would i need to mod to bring it up to around 400bhp and what kind of money would i be looking at to do this please some one convince me to buy a tt over a bmw 3.2 evolution

Most people here have converted from Auto to manual.

I converted my car from Auto to manual about 2 years ago. I feel that it make the car more responsive and gives you more control.

If your looking for a TT manual I'm selling mine. Its had over £30,000 spent on it in the last 2 years and I recon I've upgraded just about everything. See my rides for specs though they are 6months out of date ar I've made even more up grades.

If your serious about a well sorted and looked after Zed I'm looking for about £9K

ive had both auto and manual zeds, i prefere the manual the auto isnt a patch on the manual IMO some Auto drivers will no doubt dissagree but its each to their own, but as said above a lot of Auto owners have converted to manual which speaks for its self, and the manual is less prown to problems and can hold up to higher BHP. The reason a lot of zed owners have Auto's is that there is more of them.

The zed is known as the Fairlady in japan but as the 300zx over here thats the only difference.

If you put a good induction kit on in place of stock air filter, decent after market exhaust and up the boost your be well on your way to 400BHP. Do a site search and brouse the past posts this will give you a good idea what its all about.

As for convincing you to buy a zed over a BM, well this is a zed site after all which speaks for its self that decission is yours. But if you buy a zed buy one you know the history of like the ones for sale on the site but buy the best you can afford.

servicing esp oil changes on a TT should be done regualy

good luck :)

if its not a fast road auto dont bother get a manual, stock autos are a pain in the arse mine will be converted to manual
