She might be lucky, some authorities do a speed choice workshop for the first offence at 'lower speeds' as they put it.

 

I did one about 4 months ago. Glad I did as I had 6 points then. Would have gone up to 9. Have 3 points left which come off in March and very much looking forward to that!!

If yoou get a picture and it is cropped and blown up to identify your number plate, they have broken the law. Ask to see teh actual negative, this can only be used as evidence. If you cannot work out the number from the negative then the case would be dropped.

 

Are tehre any mistakes on the form, address etc? yep same thing, my wifes address is wrong.

Who was driving teh car, if 2 people use it and you cannot in all good faith remember who was driving that day then it is up to the police to prove who it was.

Are the machines calibrated?

To be honest mate, with all due respect, most people try it on. You'll be unlikely to get away with it.

Should be dealing with burglary, assaults, rapists, TWOCA's, street gangs and muggers. Clean all that lot up and leave us the f**k alone. Just a giant taxation system as usual and it's the honest decent people who get hit the worst.

haha, good point, I even chipped in with that one!

a couple of years ago somone crashed into me and spedoff, i followed him and he ended up going through a fence, the police came and i ended up with a court summons for dangerous driving (fook i was the one who was hit lol) anyway they got the registration of the cars mixed up (they said i was driving his on said date, and that he was driving mine on said date)

 

anway long story short, the soilicitor argued that if the summons was wrong how could the evidence of dangerous driving be right, it got threw out of court (not that i was driving dangerousely anyway)

 

so there may be something in the address thing

they have to get the NIP to you within a set time or it is not valid. Now the police do not use recorded delivery but they have their own records of when the NIP was sent. People often claim they never received it but the courts always come down on the side of the police as they have a record of sending it.

HOWEVER you have the perfect excuse to say you never received it as the address is wrong, let it go to court and when they produce the records of the NIP you stand up and say "hold on that address is not totally correct" They will have to accept that it could have been lost in the post and dismiss the case.

tonight a stupid bitch in a saxo almost went into the car in front of me head on, on our side of the road just so she didnt have to let the poor bloke out of a side road on her side she swerved right around him on to our side of the road, with no intension of slowing down or letting the guy out she was going too fookin fast as well :smash: Not a fookin clue how to drive or any road curtesy these bitches :xxx:
