De catting is one of them debates where there is no right or wrong answer, some de cat with no problems others de cat and get problems mainly turbo seals which de catting can cause either the seals have gone already or if weak the lack of back pressure can cause them to go, your soon know by the smoke out the exhaust, you take your chance when you de cat unless you got approx £1,500 spare lying about to repaire tubs, choice is yours :)

There is potential Turbo seal failure from loss of backpressure when decatting, depending on current state of turbos. Its very rare, but can happen.

There are no issues with ECU or fuelling when decatting.

so basicaly threre is a high risk of messing the turbos then

it even thowgh is it worth it i eman on performance and sound i the moment i have twing kakamoto exaust

Same here, also do PCV's

If your thinking of decatting and are in Cardiff I'd use Charlie at 'Pro-Speed' on city road, he really knows his stuff and is very reasonable, think mine were about £140-£150 supplied and fitted. However I'd only consider this if you're changing the turbos at the same time or are thinking of changing them soon.

hopefully they will be ok!

This company,s been going for years , the workmanship looks superb ,as mentioned for a re,con it,s a fixed price of £175 +vat , one of mine needed a new compressor wheel due to partical damage and the other had a tiny amount of damage but they can re-face the edge of the blades as long as is will remain in tolerance and can be balanced correctly, the new compressor wheel was about an extra £55 , total price was IIRC £480
