Help! SWB on Eibach Springs and standard shocks with 18's BUT back seems high.

Can anyone suggest a way to drop it cheaply? Maybe an inch or 2?

May have to look at chopping them!!!! Oh no!!

Yours in anticipation, angle grinder in hand,

Andy

Ps sorry about my pictures being so big in "rides" section, haven't figured out how to shrink em yet.

Judging by the fairly even gap around the wheel - i'd say it looks about right for standard height springs. Although you're on Eibach's- are they actually shorter than standard?

Si.

Yeah sorry Andy - couldn't resist - but I agree - looks ok to me as well!

Cheers

Yes .8 of an inch apparently.

I know that the swb is a bit lighter on the rear and to me it looks high.

Maybe it's my time of the month, I burst into tears earlier on today when I found out I'v gone up a dress size. Where are did I put that box of milk tray?

Has to be said, paint peeling aside, that's one nice Z Andy!

Cheers Si.

You think the paint was bad on the spoiler, it gets worse.......

LOL

What are you having done to it? Smooth boot or OE replacement fibreglass one?

EO fibreglass for me. Less is is more and all that kinda stuff. Totally cocked up the first one as it was foe an LWB. Expensive mistake. Got a new one from Luke @ zcentre. Should be on by xmas if all goes to plan. Seems a bit tight though??

you will have to fettle it a bit. when i did mine i had to keep trying the fit on the car and then sanding it down ect. don't paint it till you have it fitted right. oh and use tiger seal its fantastic and is what is holding mine on.

When I ordered my springs for my swb the rear was too high, sent them back and got replacements. - The rear end is quite a bit lighter on the swb - which is why they snap around so viscously on you compared to the lwb. The wieght loss makes a hell of a difference though

Did you have to sand the full legnth of the spoiler?

There seems to be a lip on the inside. Don't want to grind it too much in case it is going to compromise the integrity of the spoiler.

Was yours fron Luke @ the Zcentre.

Cheers Ivan, Are they Eibach Springs? If so, where can I get replacements?

Andy

They aren't Eibach's - I got them from Mike at MJP (see traders section).

I am sue he will be able to give you accurate advice on the difference - I just use 'em :) .
