The manual boxes are pretty tough and most people don't have any problems with 2nd hand units.

cheers, anyone got one for me :nana2:

Watch out for worn syncros 4th and 5th its a common fault on z32 boxes .

noted thanks :)

Hi Mike,

I have one lying around, I bought it when I was rebuilding my own gearbox as a 'safety net'. Worst case scenario was to build one 'box from the 2. But as it happened all I needed to do was replace bearings in my original.

The 'box i bought I was told has a 1st gear synchro problem. I have not stripped it or fitted it, so I can only pass on the info that was told to me. I have to say, it looks in a lot better condition than mine, no oil on the outside at all just nice and dry.

I paid £60 for it, I'm just looking to get my money back as it's taking up space in the shop :P
