As the topic says, people just don't want these cars, I'm getting that sick trying to sell it I'm thinking of stripping it and putting it back to standard then trying to sell it that way, but that's a worse case scenario.

I think its a case that there is not enough known about them by the average car nut.

We all know they are unreliable most of the time and have a penchant for V-power but it seems very few people know about its many benefits.

To name a few, it's looks are gorgeous, goes like stink, can at a push take 4 adults whilst it is going like stink, can be insured by someone as young as 21 for reasonable money, you can take the roof off (sorta) and the ladies love them too!

It just seems that most people looking for a big jap car want a Rex or a Poopra. :smash:

Not good for selling but atleast it does mean the zed enjoys a bit of exclusivity:)

i was coming back from the gym tonight and sitting at traffic lights a guy came past with a little boy of about 2 or 3 and he was telling the boy all the different cars then the boy see mine and pointed the guy said thats a racing car look at the wheels, then he said it "i think thats a Toyota or something :smash: ARRRRR then changed his mind and said "i think its a Skyline :smash: :smash: AAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I decide not to say anything and tell him what it was i thought poor twat you can spend the rest of your life fooking wondering now, but i did have to laugh when the boy pointed to the van behind me and the bloke said "oh that, thats just a boring old van  So i think it prob a case no one knows what they are those who do know whats involved owning 1

I think your average person has far too much sense to buy a 15 year old 3.0L petrol guzzling machine these days

Better advertising it on here and other performance car sites.

at least your part of an exclussive club, and it's nice not seeing one in every other driveway! and yes they are an old car, but when new they were ahead of there time, IMO

coz they are too expensive to maintain!

They do demand more maintenance and due to that fact, there are a lot of dogs about which have pushed the value into free fall.

I've sold 6 300's this year and never had a problem,i find anything with a kit harder to sell though as unless you get someone that likes your car exactly as it is then they would prefer to buy a standard looking one and modify it to their taste, any time i get a 300 in for resale with a high level spoiler etc is ditch the spoiler as i know alot of people really dont like them.

for what is worth i think your car is worth 5k all day long,it's just finding someone who wants one with that kit on it.

why dont you buy it then :x::rofl:

Wrong time of year - keep it till spring and photograph it with the roof off. You'll sell it - no problem. Advertise it in Auto Trader too as it'll appear cheap when compared with trader prices.

Good luck

I think the problem is there are too many horror stories out there. On Ebay at the moment there are about 5 Zeds, all with various problems, which would cost a fair bit to have repaired by a garage, providing you can find one local to take it on. If your new to Zeds and you were looking on Ebay as a guide, you would be put off straight away.

It is luck of the draw i'm affraid, the ad needs to be right, the price needs to be right and it needs to be advertised in the right place, i got quite a bit of interest from pistonheads with mine.

As people have said its a really bad time of the year and in all honesty i didnt expect mine to sell hence why i originally stuck it up for £8k and was going to just keep it up for sale until spring next year when its a better time but things changed and i needed to free up some capital for another can hence why i reduced it.

Price wise i dont think yours is overly expensive but you habe 2 choices, do you NEED to sell it? if so then add open to reaonable offers on the price which may encourage someone who may not ba able to afford it at its price at the moment but may be tempted to coem and have a look and try to get it cheaper and as we all know its just a case of getting someone in front of the car

or

If you dont need the money then stick to your guns and leave the price and a buyer WILL come along but it may take time

Mike

I'll have your front bumper

LOL, sorry, good luck with the sale.
