Hi, looking for some info on your opinoin on alcantara for re trimming the inside panels of me zed...I have tried proper leather , but cant seem to get it right ... etc with no creases and not stressing the leather due to stretching and am not happy with the results . I have seen alcantara on ebay and release its not cheap, but is it much easier to work with etc..

I've never been a fan of the stuff. When you sit on it your clothes just sort of stick to it. Whereas if you have leather, your clothes move around and it's much more comfy IMHO.

He's just doing the pannels?? unless you sit on the underside of the dash dont think it;ll be too much of a probleme, althought i have to agree couldnt do the seat's in Alcanterra, leather all the way for my arse!

yeah, thanx for the posts lol...its just for the panels..i've done the seats in leather..any other opinions?

im using a good quality leather replica, as its got the same look but is a lot easier to mould to the countours of panels!!

i use a dense cushioned underlay which was designed for bras if that gives you a good itea of what it feels like!! :dance:

even covered centre console lid with no stretch marks :nono: or corners!!

Where did you get that underlay from?? just about to start doing mine and looking for some good material to use, i would be greatfull for any help

I've seen that stuff on Ebay, and i's sureit says replica alcanterra? cant seam to find any one that sell's it, but if you do get the real stuff i think it's about £70 a sq meter!
