Having 99 spec front bumper, new rear bumper and tailgate skin fitted so asked for quote for full respray and was told £4000 incl VAT :shock:

 

Have i missed something ?!!!! Surely that must mean every bit of paint on the car!

 

Anyone elsoe had a full respray? what was to cost?

That's not a bad price if it's a windows/engine out job.

 

Mine cost me £2,500. Mine was mainly a blowover, with quite a bit of work done to the bumpers and tailgate. I stripped most of the car myself (all the trim off).

Full respray same colour and LOTS of bodywork done on my old silver Zed was £1300 from my sprayer.

Must be a windows out and engine bay etc job judging by that price. £1300 sounds very good. Thats kind of what i was expecting.

£4000 - that should mean FULL respray, ie engine bay and inside doors / boot etc.

I was quoted around £2500 - £3000 and that was without fitting of bodykit, that was from a top quality bodyshop though.

full respray(colour change) including door checks etc,fit and paint 99spec front bumper and oem replica rear spoiler...£600 :D

I had a full respray, tailgate skin, door handles removed, wiper arm removed, aerial removed and wide arch kit, which was a hell of a lot work invovled, plus some other bits and bobs, still ended up less than your qoute.

Had mine done at Astley Car Care, based near Leigh, Lancashire. Guy there is Malc and his number if anyone is interested is 01942 873216. Great eye for detail, what you will find is every bodyshop would want to see the car first, before anyone will quote.
