Going to change engine oil + filter. Is it worth giving it an engine flush at the same time. If yes, whats the best way to do it and what do i use?

if you really want to give it a flush, change the oil run it for a while, then change the oil again. dont use engine flush products.

depends on the flush.

 

Some are additives which thin the oil but some are just cheap oils which you pour in run for a few mins and then drain out again.

The best way I found to "flush" or clean the internals of an engine are

first follow Joely P advise "change the oil run it for a while, then change the oil again."

 

Then change you oil monthly for 3 months, then change you oil and filter quarterly.

New oil is the best way clean out sludge, carbon build up and clean out

hydraulic lifters without the risk of doing any damage.

It sounds an expensive way to do it, but in the long run it will be the cheapest.
