Seeing as there's a big bit of metal piping running from the back of the engine connecting one side of the PCV to another, couldnt I just remove this piece of crap and just shove one long hose in it's place!? Apart from the fact that the hoses itself reduces in bore size then increases back up in bore size I dont see any reason why I cant!?

Less stinking connections to go wrong! Oh, I managed to get the plenum off too!

May be metal as it passes by the EGR unit that gets hot. If you got no EGR then I cant see why not. Otherwise I may be a bit concerend?

Not too sure but I've got yet another picture showing where the metal pipe is. Basically the main part (RED) of the pipe connects the PCV from passenger side to the drivers side, it also has two extra metal hoses which for connecting coolant hose (GREEN) and another metal pipe which from what I've read up on is the vac line for the EGR (not show in the picture as there is no EGR).

My suggestion is pretty much the same as the plenum water by pass. I dont see any reason why I cant just remove this bit of metal and shove one hose instead. Like I've said the only problem is that the PCV hoses reduces in size and then increases in size again as it is reconnected. Would that affect the way the PCV works!?
