I've been looking into getting a new front bumper which is primed and ready to spray.

Just spoke to a guy, he reckons it's gonna cost £220 +, just to spray the front bumper... that sounds way too high.

What kind of price should I be looking for?

thanks.

If its a polyeurothene bumper of decent quality..then up to £100....if its a new fibreglass one, then cost varies depending on quality of fitment (which is usually poor). Prepping for fitment is where the cost lies.

I was quoted £250 for rub down and spray, or £150 if I rubbed it down

I thought that was high too!

Costing me 120 plus vat just for the paint to do my wing and bumper.

Depends how good they are and what preperation work they have to do.

I had boot and two rear spoilers sprayed and the rear wiper removed and filled for less than that, so yes mate it sounds a bit high to me.

Depends what its made of and what has already been done to it. Ie what sort of primer has been used and how long ago was it done. Old primer will need redoing, the wrong primer will need removing and re doing.

Depends too on whether its a simple plain colour like red, white or yellow or whether its a basecoat metallic and lacquer job.

depends on the Quality of the paint. Better quality = more money.

Nothing wrong with cheap n cheerful Autopaint but PPG or Standox is loads more money

and depends on the quality of the final finish too. Is it a stock colour or is more work needed to match it in to an existing faded colour.

Its like asking how long is a piece of string really.

Im having one done at trade price soon

Stock Urethane front in metallic black.

£150 all in subject to no extra prep being required. But down south prices are going to be higher.
