turbos's lol

what have you done to your cars engine?

I use Mobil 1 full synth. oil and am very pleased with it.

Redline oil is supposed to be very good also, but is much harder to get (at least in Holland it is..)

I have not done anything to my engine it is standard.

Eric,

I used to use mobil One in my renault 5 I had back in the old days, the turbo soon died and everyone I spoke to said that M1 oil is far to thin for turbo's and does them more harm than good. So I going to stay away from M1 oil.

Never EVER compare a Z to a R5 !!! ;-)

For god sake...

I'm mainly told and use Castrol RS 10-60 or 0-50.

I've always used Mobil 1 0w-40 without problems.

I've seen comments from various sources that Mobil 1 isn't any good in turbo cars but the Z has some fine tolerances.

Saying that, I'm now going to try Mobil 1 Rally 15w/50 which is slightly thicker when cold and hot and is recommended for turbo cars.

As an alternative, I would go with Castrol RS.

Steve
