 Went onto a roundabout today about 35-40, just following a freelander then bang, hit a brick and my Tie rod snapped (have i got that right, bit thats attached from front hub to front cross member somewhere, its adjustable) well that sent me round in a circle then into the kirb, only obvious damage is as mentioned above, just wondered if this is adjustable as standard and will it just be the same as a uk spec cars part or is this an aftermarket jobby thats adjustable and any idea how much this will cost me, ill go and get it tomorrow if its available from a normal auto parts store.

cheers ryan

Sounds like its the track control arm thats snaped, if its the bit with the ball joint on then thats what it is and its not standard.

If its the bit that goes from the track control arm forwards to the front cross member then its the tension arm and if its adjustable then its not standard.

Try Smithy he stocks them or will sort you out with replacments.
