has anyone tried a vg30det into a z32 chasis? i know htey come in automatics but its teh same motor as tt it seem slike just with a single intake plem and single turbo. will a 5spd twinturbo or even a na tranny bolt on to this? is htis doable? its been done on z31's so wondering would this work on a z32?

I'm no expert but I'd guess that it could be done but what would be the point? The z32 na is faster than the z31 turbo too isn't it?

Agreed with Alfo, why change, keep to the z32 engine far less hassle until it goes wrong!!!!!

The Motor that comes in the Z32 is based on the old block, but heavily revised and updated, so much so that the Z32 NA VG30DE is more powerfull than the old Z31 Turbocharged VG30DET !

VG30DET come in Nissan Cima and leopard I think. It’s a quad cam Single turbo V6 very identical to the VG30DETT, apart from the fact that is Single turbo, single plenum with twin TB's and very different head port design.

its the VG30DET not the vg30et i am talking about. the vg30det came with 255 hp with 250 ft torque. its a single turbo versino of the vg30dett. i would like to know if anyone has put htis motor in? can the twin turbo trans fit it?

I've never seen that conversion done. In fact i've never even heard of anyone doing it.

is that the engine from the final jdm z31 300zx? iirc the final z31 had a dohc v6 24 valve single turbo which the z32 vg30dett is based upon?

I'd still ask why bother, the Z32 TT engine is 280-300bhp stock??
