This one in on the side plenum support brackets. Neither are connected so I guess I can do away with them. Just wondered what they did?

1st: VTC solenoids. Unless you have aftermarket cam pulleys which don't use them then you DO want them connected!

2nd: Stock boost control solenoids (switches safety / normal boost) disconnected OK if you have a boost controller fitted or not bothered about having safety boost function.

If you don't have a boost controller and the boost solenoids are not connected, then you will be in permanent safety boost! The ecu won't be in the knock maps but the car will only boost to 7psi....

I have a boost controller so im ok there.

I dont have aftermarket cam pulleys. Thats the bit the belt runs on right?

But one of them deffiantely has the wires chopped and not connected. Cant remember if the other was plugged in or not off the top of my head.

How will this effect the running of the car?

if you have aftermarket cam pulleys, there's a big chance you have aftermarket camshafts as well.

As most aftermarket cams for the Zed don't support the Nissan VTC system, there's no use to leave the solenoids connected.

Hmmmmm. Im sure the pulleys are standard.

Will have to check the cams. I've almost got down to them. Just gotta take the rocker covers off.
