I had some work done on my ZX today, which involved taking the ignition off. Since then I've hade a warning light on that looks like overheating catalyst, anyone else had this light on and know what it is?

That could well be the exhaust gas temperature warning light. Mine came on a while back when a spark plug worked loose and caused the exhaust system to overheat with all the crap getting sent through it.

Check the two sensors that connect to your cats. It's common to remove these sensors and tape them back, making sure the wires aren't shorted, if you decat your exhaust as they are generally a jap gimmick however they can beuseful if you have the problem mentioned above.
