Hello I have an 1990 300zxtt. I've been having problems with it lately. Everytime I take off, the car shudders. It feels like the power is coming on and then kicking off. This only happens when I accelerate, if I keep it at an steady speed it's okay, but what's the point of that. It does this on any temperature. I just gave it a tune up. You guys should know trouble shooting is really not an option when your strapped for cash so any advice, suggestions is more than welcomed. THANX!! -300zcargurl

What mod did you do ?

Well its more of a tempory fix, but i replaced the warn out rubber part as it had started to crumble away and break up.

do a boost leak check if the shuddering occurs when the car comes on boost.this is a classic symptom.

to do this pull off every vaccuum hose off one by one and put your finger over the nipple (metal bit with the hole you pulled the hose off). If the engine note is different between hose attached and finger plugged then there is a vacuum leak. Checking the boost hoses is rather more involved, but not hard if you are a handy sort, the easiest being the four big fat pipes at the front of the engine.
