Hello, ive had a 91 TT for a few months now which on more than a few occasions has skidded out of control while accelerating moderately in 2nd or 3rd. This happened today on a dual carriageway of all places and was a bit scary. I'm not much of a car enthusiast so excuse me if this normal for these cars (my last car was a peugeot 106)!

Appreciate any input folks, cheers

shite tires x damp roads =tail happy zed ;)

what the nut said^^^^. mine came with nankans on it and it was deadly in the wet. now use Michilens loads better. but you can still make it spin for the fun factor

yep, get some good rubber on there, on yoko's mine was sideways everywhere in the wet, badly behaved even in the dry, pirelli's much better.

The problem in the wet is as soon as you lose a bit of traction the revs will increase and the tubs spool up causing it to spin even worse. As has already been suggested get some decent tyres and be a bit gentler with the gas.

Check rear shocks and outer hicas bushes too. Toyo proxes sorted it for me, along with racelogic TC ;)
