I am about to buy some wheels for my LWB Jspec TT. I know the rear wheels are 8.5 and the front are 8 for my OEMs. The wheels I am getting only come in 8's. Do I need to get spacers for the rear wheels and will there be a major problem with using 8's all around.

8.5" rear? Gonna be a little narrow mate. Would go for 9.5".

What diameter are you buying???

If 18" then as Si says 8" is WAY too narrow for the back.

Stock J spec are 7"all round and UK rear stock are 8".

Having a 8" rear will limit you to a 245 section tyre.

If you are going to spend money on some new wheels then at least get the optimum size for the car.

I am looking at some 16" wheels at most 17". The 17" wheels will be 9's though.

A 9" wide 17 will just be spot on. It will take a 255/40 - 17 tyre comfortably. Some 8" fronts will be a good match with 235/45-17 tyres.

Just for info, stock UK car wheel sizes are 7.5 wide fronts and 8.5 wide rears......

 

........If you are going for 18s then 8.5 wide rears would just be OK with 255/35/18 tyres but 9 inch + rears would be better (as already said above).

The wheels I have bought are 17 8's. I should have them in a couple of weeks.
