on the drive in to work this morning someone T boned my zed! gutted as i was just getting her how i wanted after lots of £££ spent (same old story!)

 

The girl that hit me went striaght over a stop junction and hit me square in the passenger side of the zed spinning me 270degrees and putting the back of my zed up the kerb (some going for a 106!)

 

Il post some pics in a bit but basically from the front wheel arch to the middle of the rear wheel arch is now kind of 106 shaped! Sills bent (maybe chassis cant make it out from the mess!) , doors distroyed and the a pillar is broken!

Im guessing they are going to right the car off? So expecting some stuipid insulting offer of £2000 or something ****!!!!!!!

TBH i would say write off if its smashed up the pillar and would you really want to drive the car agin after knowing whats happened to it/the work thats been done to put it right.(not saying the workmanship would be shoddy just a car is never the same after a big shunt)

I would say get as much as you can on the insurance,as much off the car as you can ie the PC,anything of value and find a new zed.

 

Oh yes and are you sure your neck isnt hurting?delayed reaction and all that?

My personal opinion, let the insurers write it off and negotiate a decent a decent settlement sum. Get all your upgrades off (the HIDs brakes, etc) and let them have it.

 

Buy a new one with the pay-out and add your bits to it.

 

Whatever happens, the car won't be the same after your repairs, plus if it is a "recorded" write off then it will be worth pennies once repaired anyway.

I'm currently going through the sh**t right now. 1st you need to make sure the lady accept responsibility for the accident. 2nd Get all valuable mod out of the car before insurance engineer could see it. 3rd when reporting it to insurance make sure you claim you are wirplashed other wise you will get peanut form them - imagine Norwich settling my claim with just £1,050 plus keep the car when the car was insured for £5999

no whiplash here guys, (need clean bill of health for work so just not worth the hasstle!) Thanks for the advice, ive had the computer and touchscreen out of the car, didnt want to take too much and make it look dodgy but took everything of value i could get at easily, doesnt help with my stillen anti roll bars, smithy big brakes, braided hoses etc.... Just dont have time or all the stock items to swap these out, just going to have to get the car back as part of the settlement and take the bits off then. Also had a new retrim on the seats by the past owner so that should be worth a bit.

 

Just hope i get enough out of the insurance to buy another decent zed!

Really sorry to hear your bad news! :cry: I hope the insurance company find you a decent replacement to fit your HIDs n brakes etc too!

might just be how i feel at the moment, just not sure if i have the will for another zed, might be because its so close to the accident, but spent hours and ££££ on it and insurance just wont give me much! no idea what i would replace it with though, so just see what they offer me in the end i guess

listen geeky dont be on a all downer whos sorting your stuff out for you? my baby z had a smash back in january this year bot my fault some blind git drove out of junction passenger side hit front bumper gone wing gone door gone and all my kits molded onto wings, well i got a payout of £6000 :dance: plus personal injury claim :dance: so wsnt that bad but i went thru a claims firm in bolton, they where top sorted all out for me, i got a 1992 uk tt manual. if they offer you crap money fro it all you do is go on net and try to find zeds same year as yours which are up for sale at highr prices then slam it on there face!! so they know that these beasts are worth more than they think. neways mines on a cat d now but good luck with yours mate.

Like everyone has said fight for the best price you can and dont forget you can hire a company that will give you a courtesy car and compensation for all losses wages Etc. When i wrote off my xr4x4 i slammed into the insurance company for everything and even got the salvage and this was from a company that DID NOT sell the vehicle back to the insured !!! Just remember YOU are the innocent party here and she was the guilty party. :mad: :mad:

Bad news took all of 20mins after they got the car to their workshop! waiting on the insurance offer now, guess it will take a while to get sorted!

Sorry to hear about this. Almost rammed someone today when turning right at a roundabout, the cheeky tw@t eyeballed me then pulled out. IMO the dozy cow "chanced it" to save time and rammed you.
