not for me, he just want is running, mines the all singing and dancing mod

I have a feeling that xbox disks are locked and may only be accessible by the box that locked them. You could try unlocking the disk in your xbox before putting it in his.

yeah i tried that , unlocking it in my xbox and then transfering it and it didn't work

Is your mates Xbox Modded??

If not then do a soft mod. This is very easy to do. Then putting a PC HD should not be a problem.

hi mate my xbox is exicuter 2.6 , but his isn't, i put the new drive in mine and created a new origional system on it using a disk i have. but his xbox doesn't reconise it, i've even tried unlocking the drive on mine and then putting it in his

Ah, doesn't the standard MS chip require the disk to be locked?

I'd try booting his machine with the new drive in but with a copy of Slayer's boot disk in the DVD drive and set it up from there.

it doesn't boot up from the Slayer's boot disk, jumps straight to the error screen
