it's a tank with mesh inside, i'm not sure if it's intake air or recirc air that flows through it, and basicly it get's any oil in the air out, simple as that really, seams like a good idea however the mounting and the connecting up is leaving me a bit scratchy heady at the moment!

LOL I'm just trying to work out the best possible way. Trouble is that the breather system on a Z operates in both directions depending on if you're in boost or vacuum conditions....

Usually they are installed where the battery normally is as is the Expantion tank for the Rad. So you have to install the battery in the boot.

Oil catch tanks normally sit within the PCV system.

You should be able to find a vacuum line that runs fromt eh rocker heads to the inlet (before turbo) tract put it in between there.

Oil catch tanks are to catch the oil that is passed through the PCV system of the engine and stop it entering the combustion chamber thus causing smoke.

It is simply a tank with two pipes withihn the body each sits far above the base so that falling oil can be caught at the bottom while the vapour can be allowed to pass into the upper engine aiding lubrication and some say combustion.
