This Town IS big enough!

Any of you clubbies doen Devon way? Walking down Sidmouth high street about 5 ish this afternoon, having just parked my Z in a car park, a G reg Black Z came purring by, roof off and looking really horny! It stopped me in my tracks, forcing me to stare uncontrolably...... I thought someone had just nicked mine!

Anyone got any ideas about an annoying rattle coming from the boot area? I know its not the girlfriend.... she's allowed to sit up front now!

Rattle from the boot could be many things, here's two. Loose hatchback or the little grille thing that covers the rear lights. The hatch lock can be adjusted by moving it down a little on the slotted bolt, the grille things can use a little of that window sealing stuff (like 5mm thick tape) that stops them rattling.

When I bought my Zed, it had a rattle from the boot. The garage drove up and down in it with one chap in the boot listening to the rattle. Turned out to be my CD Changer not screwed in quite tight enough.

Anita.

Anita, you now carrying men in your boot? What are they, spares in case of an emergency....?

Oh - doesn't everyone? Day-amn and the garage chap told me that for the first 3 years after purchase a man must remain in the boot to wave at all the cars the Zed stomps past. smile.gif

Besides, if your tyre goes flat - you have another lesser one for a "make-do" scenario...if I happen to take this one step further... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

ummm flat, droopy.... are you picking on me??? LOL smile.gif

IIRC you were the one who said that you would droop over my car! biggrin.gif

Besides, would I pick on you, John? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Anita, picking at a flat and droopy one on your bonnet may scratch your paintwork, sharp nails and all.....

ummm, I guess now is a good time not to extend this conversation any further! LOL

Sorry to interfere people, but removed the inner rear panel to adjust the tailgate lock mechanism and lowered the unit down a shade...and.... fixed it!!! No more rattle!! Thanks to everyone involved for their advice, but i thought i had tried everything, even the CD Changer being lose! Wasn't too keen on having a man messing around in my rear end anyway, especially a stranger!!

I live in the capital of Devon - Plymouth biggrin.gif

Off down to Torquay later if the weather stays fine....
