Having had absolutely no luck with the 300zx i am considering letting the guy who is using it for filming at the moment sell it for me.....apparently its quite famous now and should recoup some of the fortune I have spent on it due to its new found fame....its been in the paper and will be on film 2006 etc.

I am considering buying an M3 on an 02 plate and wondered if anyone had any experience of the car in terms of performance and importantly reliability!!!!

Your opinions are always valued.

Rob

PS.I really wanted to make the zed thing work but I trusted the wrong garages with the work and over a year later the car will be fixed and I've lost interest

Maybe I should reveal who did the work? On a lighter note who fancies a race when I get an M3!!!!! How do they perform in comparison?

Ermmm.... Non Z related discussion section I believe :p

Ermmmm nope this is Z related general discussions  :D

I'd consider a rusty white UK Zed to be a shed...rhymes too. ;)

Your Z rusty Si???

HAD ;) Only problem now is that it doesn't have an engine :(

What you doing to it now? Mission to a 1000bhp then? Did remember you were rebuilding it to 'mega-spec' or something.

Looking at it crying :( LOL

Was pretty big spec:-

PE1420 turbos

Ported heads with uprated cams and ported exhaust manifolds

850cc injectors (stolen)

Eagle forged rods (one toasted)

JE pistons (one slightly damaged due to hitting the head)

Greddy FMIC

Custom ecu using zemulator (ecu gone, just got zem back)

RPS carbon-carbon twin plate clutch (stolen)

Gonna cost me a fortune to replace everything (also other parts stolen such as prop, radiator, turbo timer, tv screen from dash, dump valves) so its just gonna sit there now until I drag myself out of this massive debt.

Who stole the parts? Hom from GPS. Why am I in so much debt? Hom from GPS...

Happy days eh :( Life goes on.... for some ;)

Piston was hitting the head due to the big end failing - failed so badly it disintegrated. Too much clearance so the piston was carrying on and hitting the head... LOL

I love the old 500SL. Set of mega-dish 19" AMG wheels on it and it looks great!

Deffinately. Black, white or silver are the colours of choice for those...with late spec indicators and rear lights too.

White ones are all the rage out in California. With the sun beating down on them, they look so crisp and exotic.

but in carlisle with no sun and lots of rain :nono: ;)

Then you make sure you bloody well have a hard top then!

I do love the last model 500SL as well. Silver or black for me too, with a decent set of wheels.

I'm not too sure about white though, but they do a nice metallic dark blue.......

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
